JLF: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Wellbeing S24
Can Judaism help me live well? What ancient wisdom can I draw on to guide my relationship with myself and others? Well-being is a topic that has been explored, considered, and pursued through Jewish text and tradition for millennia. In this series, we will explore Jewish ideas and approaches to well-being, developing our own directions and approaches to well-being within contemporary life. Students will be supported to implement intentional well-being practices, evolving their own self-understanding and Jewish wellness practice.
The Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) is an experiential, conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. Fellows will meet 8 Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30 PM beginning February 14th. All sessions will be held in person with snacks.
This program is open to all undergraduate students who identify as Jewish.
Fellows who fulfill the expectations of the fellowship earn a $180 stipend at the end of the program. No prior learning or experience is required. Questions? Email Naomi at naomif@american.edu!
