Parents and families are our critical partners and indispensable members of our Hillel community.

Our team is here to support your student in any way that we can. We help new students adjust to life on campus, offer a strong community with which to celebrate Shabbat and holidays, and provide care to students as they navigate the ups and downs of early adulthood. If your student has a particular need that we might be able to help meet, please do not hesitate to contact us.

​We invite you to join our Family Circle, a network of parents and family members committed to supporting Jewish students at American University. Your help is needed now more than ever!

Chai Society members contribute $180 or more each year in support of AU Hillel's critical work. Families who contribute $1,000 or more annually will join our Parent Leadership Society.
​
These recognition societies provide a special way for families to show their love for our Jewish students and their support for the AU Jewish community. We are grateful to all of our parent supporters — thank you!
